In a significant step towards sustainable industrial practices, the ELECTRA project has officially commenced its journey. With a clear mission to revolutionize the cement, lime, and pulp industries, ELECTRA aims to lead the way in embracing eco-friendly solutions.

Day One:
The inaugural meeting of the ELECTRA project was marked by enthusiastic discussions and strategic planning sessions led by Mr. Toni Pikkarainen, the project’s Coordinator. Participants delved into the project’s ambitious goal of replacing traditional combustion processes with innovative electricity-based solutions, laying the groundwork for emission-free alternatives.

Day Two:
Participants were treated to an insightful tour of VTT’s state-of-the-art laboratories, where they had the opportunity to witness groundbreaking technologies firsthand. A highlight of the visit was the electrically-heated rotary kiln, a pivotal element of the project that promises to transform industrial processes and minimize environmental impact.
